Here we go, the much awaited Geekvape Athena Review. When I first saw the design of The Geekvape Athena Kit ($55.95 directly from MyFreedomSmokes), I was immediately hooked. Just look how beautiful this Kit is. I chose the color option of Blue, reasons are it looks cool and it is rare to see a full Blue setup. Let’s be honest, this is the first thing that we will always consider when buying a vaping device, Performance will only come next on considerations, do you agree?

Design: Geekvape Athena Squonk Kit

This is the best thing that I like about Geekvape Athena Kit, the design. The paint job on my Blue Athena is professionally done, matte finish on the body and a combination of shiny and matte finish on Athena Bottom Feeder RDA. A Soft press Button with a circular textured metal surrounded by a Gold plated ring that blends well with the overall design. Magnetic Front and Back Door that holds well without any rattling when using.

It is also a great thing that they included a Locking Mechanism on this kit, as most of the time from other manufacturers a Full mech Bottom feeder doesn’t have this feature. The main benefit that I got from this feature is I will not need to remove the battery from the Box Mod when keeping it in my pocket or bag for safety reasons.

Performance: Geekvape Athena Squonk Kit

This is probably by far The Most Powerful Full mechanical Squonker that I have tried. Simple and clean internal connections make this a powerful device, with a direct connection from the battery power into the Athena RDA. In this type of connection, you will get minimal to none voltage drop maximizing its full potential. I didn’t experience any Misfire so far while using it daily because of the silver plated connection, cleaning and maintenance are way less compared to a typical brass or copper connections.

The Geekvape Athena Kit houses a Single 18650 Battery, that has a perfectly snug fit on the body. On my experience a full charge 18650 battery on a single coil Sub-Ohm build, it lasts me a whole day and take note I am chain vaping while using this! Just look at the images below how powerful this device, especially on a full charge battery.

As I was expecting for the performance of Geekvape Athena Kit ($55.95 directly from MyFreedomSmokes), it gave me a great overall performance. I can’t get my hands off this device, to my other Mod I think they will be resting for a long time . There are no misfires while I am using this device and one more thing I really like how soft the Firing Button, it is an effortless firing experience.

Again, based on my Geekvape Athena Review I would not recommend this for Beginners, there is a Bottom Feeder regulated device that you can try which is the iJoy CAPO Squonker, that comes with regulated safety features. This device is good for advanced users who have a good knowledge about Full Mechanical Vaping Devices.
